New Season, New Shapes
Late last year, our creative director journeyed back to India to work with our team and design new styles for 2023.
Designing a new collection is a collaborative and inventive process. With the pandemic behind us, it was the perfect time to soak in India's culture, colors, traditions, and natural beauty to inspire Simitri's new collection of handcrafted accessories.
The result? This Spring, we are introducing three new shapes that offer more room for your belongings while being uninhibited and unboring in style. So what goes into designing a new line?
The design process of our new bucket bags, flap bags, and half-moon bags was a journey of discovery, experimentation, and exploration. The team challenged themselves to research and sample materials suitable for the new shapes to create something unique, arriving at Fiberboard. Sturdy and malleable, our samples were tested by our Creative Director. The compliments on the designs, ease of carrying the bags, and extra space made these all a win-win, and we can't wait for you to sparkle with them.
Here's why you will love our new structured bags:
1. The bucket bag, flap bag, and half moon bags are hand-shaped, wrapped in exquisitely embroidered fabric, and stay true to our maximalist style.
2. The new line has straps in new materials and can be swapped to style cross-body or over-the-shoulder. From pearls to crystals, the straps nod to India's royal lineage.
